Throw Back Thursday: Flower Show 2019, The World Cup

The PHS Philadelphia Flower Show is the nation’s largest and longest-running horticultural event and features stunning displays by the world’s premier floral and landscape designers. The Flower Show hosts world-renowned competitions in horticulture and artistic floral arranging, gardening presentations and demonstrations, special events, a mammoth indoor Marketplace, and the Bloom Philly Festival in the weeks leading up to the show. This year the flower show had the opportunity to host the World Cup for all competitors all over the world to perform this skill at floral design.

The theme this year at the Flower Show was: The dream of the ’60’s, the show’s exhibit celebrates the cultural influences of the 1960’s, to be specific of the year of 1969. This is the year of Woodstock: ‘Make Love Not War’!

The show within a show FTD World Cup, one of the world’s most prestigious floral design competitions allows guests to marvel at bountiful live arrangements. The 2019 Flower Show adds to the excitement this year with Florists transworld delivery (FTD) World Cup, taking place March 1-3. One of the world’s most prestigious floral design competitions, the event returns to the United States for the first time since 1985, with designers from 23 countries competing on the main flower floor for all to see.
