The floral industry is very interested in greening the earth. To follow this trend, Pennock Floral has initiated a specialized recycling program.
Our General Manager, Ted Johnson, was the driving force behind this program.
We are segregating the waste by dry and wet waste. Dry waste includes paper, cardboard, glass, tin cans etc, that can be recycled and reused. Wet waste, on the other hand, refers to organic wastes such as flowers petals, wilted flowers etc, that is being sent to a local compost center. And finally we have our landfill waste, which are items that cannot be recycled or reused. This portion of our waste is the smallest portion of waste that Pennock produces.
We are proud of this changes that have been implemented and look forward to the future advances to better, ourselves, our city, and our planet. Pennock Floral goes Green!
